Fly and plug fishing

Swanage and the Purbeck offer some of the best lure fishing in the country. From shore & boat, the clear water and rugged shore line is perfect for plugging and fly fishing. I have spent a lot of time over the years experimenting along the coast on foot and a float (manly targeting bass and mullet). This coming season, I aim to offer a few inshore trips  specialising in this if enough people show an interest.  The trips would be at first and  last light on a smaller boat so we can get in close to spots you can’t get to on the shore. The early mornings may put some atpeople off, but this is when I have had my best results. If anyone  is interested or would like to talk about it more, you can email or phone me for more details.

  1. Hello
I would be extremely interested in fly fishing as mentioned in your above article. Please send me details on trips, when, where and costs if possible

    Thanks
    Ryan Harradine

  2. Hi,

Would also be interested in this. Plus one or two others probably.

  3. I’d be very interested in fly fishing for bass, and have 2 or 3 others who may also be interested. Please advise best dates based on tides over the next 6 months, maximum number of anglers and costs. Do you have tackle for hire or do we have to provide our own? If the latter what would you recommend? I’m guessing a 9wt set up minimum. Also please provide a post code for the boat pick up point for sat nav so we know where to go.

  4. Both fly and plug fishing sound great, what sort of cost per person are we looking at?

  5. Hi,
A friend and I are looking to go for some bass and mackerel on friday morning on fly, but we are unsure as to where to go around swanage.
    Have you got any pointers?
    Thanks,
    Alex

    • Yeah give me a buzz on 07932557376

  6. Hi,
I am visiting for the first time during the first week in May. I am a keen lure and flyfisherman and would be interested in either an inshore boat trip for bass or failing that maybe some guiding on the shore to help point out some marks to try. Could you help with either of these?

    Regards

    Steve
